Christmas is supposed to be a generous, giving time of year.
But many of you know in your heart you hate it.
You hate the hassle.
You hate giving to relatives who have everything or at least have enough.
You hate the expense.
You hate many of the gifts you get, but of course you don't say so.
Why not arrange a meeting of family and friends and all agree to give
your gifts to charity instead of each other.
Agree to exchange only Christmas cards between family and friends,
and on each card,
tell your friend or relative who they helped by giving up their gift.
You may find that though you have less under the tree, you will have
far more in your hearts.
PS: If you feel a need to have gift boxes under the tree during the
Christmas Season,
wrap empty boxes to put under the tree labeled
"This empty package is symbolic of a gift I gave to [name of charity]
to help them and to fill your heart with Christmas Joy".
Merry Christmas
to all of You
